The CCA+ unit ensures a constant controlled atmosphere over the eye during treatment. The unit consists of a blast circuit that uses a targeted airflow to quickly remove the ablation products from the ablation zone and a suction circuit that aspirates the ablation products, reducing odor during laser treatment. Both the fan and the aspiration system are equipped with filters and hoses that can be easily replaced by the operator. The filters are used to prevent the growth of bacteria or fungi. All required parts are available as a consumable kit. Filters and hoses should be replaced monthly, even if they appear to be clean by visual inspection.
